Dr. Frazier has extensive experience conducting neurodevelopmental and psychological evaluations for children suspected of having an autism spectrum disorder. These evaluations aid in diagnostic clarification and help inform therapeutic treatment planning.
Evaluations are conducted using the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-Second Edition (ADOS-2), the gold-standard for identification of an autism spectrum disorder. The goal of the assessment is to provide diagnostic clarification and provide parents with a thorough understanding of each individuals strengths and areas of growth.
Dr. Frazier has experience conducting assessments with all ages (i.e., from 12 months to adulthood). Dr. Frazier will review all results during an in-person-interactive feedback session the same day as the evaluation, and provide a written report including any pertinent diagnosis promptly. The evaluation summary will include detailed recommendations to assist in navigating concerns at home, school, and in social relationships.
Before relocating, Dr. Frazier held a fellowship position in the Child Development Program at Children's National Hospital in Washington DC where she gained a unique specialty providing developmental evaluations and follow-up monitoring for children aged 0-3. A developmental evaluation may be recommended for your child if they were born prematurely, have a complex birth history, chronic illness, genetic condition, or have suffered a neurological injury. Developmental evaluations aid in early identification and treatment of developmental delay (gross motor, speech, etc.), learning disabilities, and other early childhood difficulties including those related to sleep and feeding. Personalized home and community based recommendations are provided to each family in a warm and supportive environment at the time of the evaluation. close monitoring and follow-up is recommended on a routine basis.
